Lenten Project

posted in: Latest News 0

Recently I received a request from an ex-St Edmund’s pupil to support him in his quest to make a difference to the children in a primary school in Khartoum, Sudan.

Today Omar came and talked to the children during our whole school assembly and gave us an indication of how difficult life is for the children in Dar Mariam Primary School run by three Salesian sisters. Omar showed us pictures of his recent visit there and explained what kinds of things the children so desperately need:

  • stationery
  • food
  • improved sanitation
  • medicines

We are hoping that over the coming weeks of Lent we can help this important cause through prayer, action, fund raising etc so that when Omar returns in December he can take with him all that our St Edmund’s pupils have been able to provide.

Please do help us in whatever way you can.
