Returning to school this week

posted in: Latest News 0

We are looking forward to welcoming the children back to school on Thursday this week when they will spend the first two days of term with their old class teacher and teaching assistant in their old classroom.

Please note, the new Reception and Nursery classes will start term next Wednesday 9th September but will have at least one transition visit in school beforehand- full details are being sent to all Early Years parents separately.

On Wednesday I will send out a letter to all parents which will include a reminder about the transition arrangements for Thursday and Friday this week, as well as the drop off and pick up times for each class. This information was included in a letter to parents in July along with our updated Covid risk assessment. Now that the start of term is so close parents may want to reread both documents alongside this week’s letter. If you have any questions at all please do contact the school office from Tuesday 1st September.

Parents may also want to read the Department of Education’s leaflet to parents of primary aged children. Parents are also encouraged to visit for information and practical guidance to help them plan for their children’s return to school. Do also read the addendum to our existing Behaviour Policy.

I look forward to seeing you and your children from Thursday onward.

Warmest regards,

Mrs Delany-White
