Who are we?
St Edmund’s School Parents Association is a registered charity that has been created to
- Raise funds to enrich the resources of our school
- Support the school in the education of our children
- Enhance the community spirit of our school through social activities
We are a welcoming group who meet on a regular basis to organise creative and exciting events which enable parents, pupils and staff to have fun whilst raising money for the school. Every parent in the school is automatically a member of the PA and we warmly welcome all parents who want to play a role in supporting PA activities. We believe that ‘Many Hands Make Light Work’ so any support – from organising an event to making tea – is always appreciated. All of our meetings are open to all parents so do come along if you can.
Typical fund raising events include: regular Cake Sales, Film Club and Christmas and Summer Discos as well as coffee mornings and an Easter Egg Hunt to enhance the community spirit of the school. More details of our committee members, activities and what we are raising money for, can be found on our website https://groupspaces.com/StEdsPA. We encourage you to have a look around. We also have a Facebook page which all parents and carers are welcome to join. Do speak to your class rep about joining this page.
How the money is spent…
Decisions on how the money raised should be spent are made at our termly meetings. We are always open to new ideas for fundraising, so do let us know if you have any ideas for what the school needs. Some of our events are organised to arrange money for specific items whereas others have no fixed cause and are aimed at general fundraising. For example, we are currently using Easyfundraising to raise money for a scooter rack. Please support us in this by registering free at https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/stedmundsrcprimaryschoolabingdon/

Please come along to our events and invite your family and friends. We are always in need of volunteers to help out at events – even if it is only for half an hour. If you are interested in joining the committee please let us know – it’s a fun way to meet other parents and support our school.
