Extra-Curricular Activities

We offer a wide range of informal lunchtime activities such as basketball, chess and crafts.  These are drop in activities which the children can choose to attend week-by-week.  In addition, we offer some more structured extra-curricular learning opportunities.

Instrumental Tuition

Oxfordshire Music Service offers instrumental lessons during the school day.  These are paid for by parents and can be arranged by contacting the Music Service directly.  Children at school currently learn keyboard, strings and guitar, but other instruments are available if there is enough interest.

Key Stage 2 Choir

Our Key Stage 2 choir is open to all children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6.  There is no need to audition, but children need to commit to attend lunchtime rehearsals on Monday lunchtimes for a half-term at a time.  Our choir is run by a volunteer and supervised by Mr Shaw.

Football

Mr Kilbane runs our football and there are sessions for Key Stage 2 girls, Year 3 and 4 boys, Year 5 and 6 boys and children in Key Stage 1.  We have a boys' football team and a girls' football team, both of which play a number of matches during the school year.  Children who want to get involved should make sure that they bring their spare trainers to school in a bag, and speak to Mr Kilbane to find out when it is their turn to play.
