The School Day
The school day is a busy one at St. Edmund's and children are encouraged to make good use of their time, learning, playing and trying out new activities. Children in Nursery and Reception have a slightly more flexible timetable, with shorter adult-led sessions and more time for the children to explore and play. From Year 1 onwards, the following timetable gives you a suggestion of the kinds of things children might do each day. Please bear in mind that your child's teacher will organise each day according to the needs of the children and this may not be an exact plan. Children in Years 1 and 2 do not study Spanish. This time is set aside for additional reading and writing work.
