School Business Manager

Overview

St. Edmund's School is looking for a new Business Manager for September 2025 or sooner.  

The School Business Manager is responsible for managing the strategy and operation of the business functions of our school, including financial management, health and safety, human resources, compliance, IT management, facility and property management, and administration. 

They will advise on and implement the day-to-day support that enables the school to operate effectively and efficiently, and that allows other members of the Senior Leadership Team to focus on teaching and learning.

Personal attributes

The successful candidate will:

  • understand financial management and accounting procedures 
  • have excellent interpersonal skills; 
  • be an effective communicator and presenter – orally and in writing 
  • have the ability to use initiative, prioritise, meet deadlines;

Salary & Benefits

22.5 hours a week Term time only + 5 INSET days + 2 weeks 

Grade 10, points 27-30 pro rata

Flexible hours and some working from home possible
